Masterminds and Manekinekopro are dropping The Mini Movie for their new song Brooklyn Blackout off the Giant Antlers album dropping this Halloween. Kimani and Tarik were kidnapped by the government. they underwent a series of tortures ripped straight from the movie a clock work orange. eyes kept open with metal they were forced to watch rap videos for hours on end while a “scientist”kept the eye drops running.they learned a lot from that experience. and these are the tapes…….. the masterminds are tarik and kimani. born in new york. formed at wesleyan university. son’s of 60′s jazz, 70′s soul, 80′s pop, 90′s hip-hop, and 00′s indie rock. they’ve been friends since 1994. put out the first 12″ in 1996, and there last record in 2002. took some time off to be alive, and now they’re back.

Pay What You Want! – Masterminds Giant Antlers so the last couple days my google alerts for giant antlers have been going off with news that the web rip of the record is available on rapidshare, and the usual download sites. it was inevitable. and this is not going to be one of those damn piracy rants. that would be very hypocritical of me as i have pirated my fair share of music (or more than) over the years.

at the same time we did put a lot of work and effort into the record, and i’d rather people not hear a web rip. mp3′s already dilute the actual sound of music and i don’t want it to sound even crappier with just a web rip.

so given those two facts what i have done is turn the record on our bandcamp into a pay what you want to record. ala in rainbows, or the museum of natural history. so if you want to pay nothing, all it will cost you is your email address. if you want to pay the suggested $8 or more feel free. we’d appreciate it.

1st I’d like to say thank-you to everyone who took part in this years So Fresh So Hip-Hop Euro Festival, pre-events and the actual TOUR!!!

The Winners (Slim Pickins, Ellementt, and J-Styles) showed just why there were chosen to represent the upcoming hip-hop generation. The 1st event, hosted by Chip Fu, was but a taste of greater things to come as each of the winners took center stage and commanded the RESPECT of the crowd early (200+).

The next event put the winners on stage with 300+ Hip-Hop heads screaming their every word as they had the chance to ROCK with Mr. Kieth Murry. As you will see in upcoming footage each ROCKED OUT HARD!!!

The last show gave each artist 20+min to display their skills and once again they came to deliver! Setting things up for Afu-Ra this time, Ellementt set the stage!

Around the same time Alucard and IDE recorded For Fuck Sake they had another project in the works: Stonecutters – Primitive Tools. A concept album based on “Building” in both a literal and metaphorical sense. The album was titled “Primitive Tools” in reference to bringing it back to the basics of creating Hip Hop. After IDE was in the Hospital with a collapsed lung, moving, and falling out of touch with some of the producers. The project slowly fell apart. Even with over 15 songs recorded. A good portion of the tracks were mixed, however some of the songs were lost on a destroyed hard-rive. Now in 2012 after scavenging the best raw recorded mixes from the project, Creative Juices Music has decided to release this material as album project called “Uncovered Remains“. With over 15 unreleased tracks. Most never before heard. All though not every track got to get the finishing touches, and final mixes. The sound of the album captivates the time it was recorded and the mind state the artist were in. We decided it was best left untempered. After mastering and touching up all the tracks as best as possible “Uncovered Remains” is ready for immediate release. Digital copies will be available on itunes September 18th, and physical copies will be made available shortly after. This project will hit home for fans of Force Fed, Watch Them Fall, FFS, and Table of Content. Hard hitting raw production by the likes of: IDE, Benzie, Junior Makhno, Al Tarba, Black Sparx, R1 and Philup Drummond…. Alucard and IDE claim it is some of there most lyrical content to date, and our excited to finally have this material see the light of day. Dust off your stereos in preparation for these “Uncovered Remains” sure to leave the most hardcore Hip Hop fans wondering what planet these artist came from, and how they come up with some of the content they rhyme about.

The Festival Dates are Oct. 18th – 27th / Competitions will be through-out the summer!! The 1st is May 24th – MORE TO COME!! This is a ONCE in a lifetime opportunity for ANYONE and EVERYONE who ever inquired about Europe to experience it themselves and showcase their shills while doing it!!! HERE IS WHAT YOU GET:

- Basic Tickets will cost $1500.00 (US plus tax) for a single person. That will include the following:

1) Flight to and from Europe for the event (return flight can be modified for extended stays at a cost of $175.00 US/plus tax)
2) Hotel for 7+ days
3) access to 3 shows (participation in at least 1)
4) access to the workshops (dance, studio, radio, etc)
5) Travel to and from workshops and shows
6) access to Dance studios and recording studios for personal use (time must be booked before the trip begins).
7) access to personnel who may assist you in utilizing your time more efficiently while at the festival

Additional Info: Underage participants will require a guardian. That person will be required a ticket purchase as well.

It’s that time of the year!! New music from The Team!! We have Hastyle The Barber Artist releasing his 1st solo album “Haircuts” on Manekineko Pro/GreySquare Records! Poet Substatum who is re-released the project “All of a Sudden” on IB Respect Music. “Soul Eater” and “Altered States are moving good units and making noise while doing so (both released on Manekineko Pro Records by Black Panther and Respect Tha God). Another new addition to the squad Which Craft is set to release his NEW album “The-Return-of-Danny-Green”.

Creative Juices fam Critical just served up a DART with the SMASH Mix CD “Clinical Studies” and I AM MANY is making waves with his NEW release “S.I.N. (Strength in Numbers)”!! Overall its a good time for the squad… enjoy and lets get it poppin!!
